This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of LPCR-PM administrators, branch and sub-branch managers, mosque administrators (takmir), stakeholders, and beneficiary communities. The research is conducted at Jabal Nur Muhammadiyah Mosque, Nurul Da’wah Muhammadiyah Mosque, and Ta’mirul Masajid Muhammadiyah Mosque in Makassar City. The findings show that the manifest function of LPCR-PM is implemented through organizational development, strengthening of religious education, socio-economic empowerment of congregations, and the development of character and social awareness within the community. These programs have successfully transformed the function of mosques from merely places of worship into centers of da’wah, education, economic empowerment, and social services. The impacts are evident in the strengthening of congregation-based MSMEs, educational assistance, and the management of zakat and almsgiving (sadaqah), as well as in increased social solidarity, congregation participation, youth involvement in mosque governance, and growing public trust in Muhammadiyah mosque institutions. This study concludes that LPCR-PM of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership in Makassar City has successfully transformed mosques into adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable centers for social solutions.
2026-08-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Universal Community Empowerment Provision https://mail.psppjournals.org/index.php/jucep/article/view/1060Determining Priorities for Government Assistance Through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Approaches Supports the Empowerment of Shallot Farmers in Enrekang Regency2026-07-03T09:47:58+00:00Umar Nainumarnain9126@yahoo.comSuaib Suaibsuaib@yahoo.comAbdul Halimabdulhalim@yahoo.com
This study aimed to determine government assistance priorities to support the empowerment of shallot farmers in Enrekang Regency using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approaches. Community service activities were conducted from April 6–10, 2026, involving 30 participants consisting of government officials, agricultural extension officers, farmer group leaders, and shallot farmers. The FGD identified twelve types of government assistance required by farmers, which were then prioritized using AHP based on human, business, institutional, and environmental development aspects. The results revealed that capital facilitation ranked as the highest priority (0.2314), followed by agricultural machinery (0.1947), production inputs (0.1486), technical training (0.1129), internships (0.0851), and marketing support (0.0635). Lower-priority assistance included road rehabilitation, profit-sharing regulation, legal farmer groups, insurance subsidies, environmental conservation, and research dissemination. These findings indicate that business and human development assistance are more urgently needed to strengthen farmer productivity, income, and long-term empowerment in shallot farming systems.
2026-09-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Universal Community Empowerment Provision
